Be More Not Less Website Design and Logo

This was a new start-up company I helped build from the ground up. After we all went back and forth on a name, making sure the .com was available, we first worked on getting a logo. I helped Be More Not Less work with another website to get a great logo for them. While I can do the work myself, I do like to save time and money for my clients. So we setup an account using another service and got them a lovely unique and flexible logo at a great price, $150 if I recall. Once we had the logo I went through a couple different website layout ideas before coming up with our final draft. We set out to...

Music Treasures Website Design

I worked on this website for many years. I would have to say it was my first big project for several areas and reasons. They were originally using a very old and free coldfusion shopping cart software. It was buggy and didn’t do a lot of things they needed. The design wasn’t very appealing either. I used a free open source ASP shopping cart as the base for a new site. I can up with a newer more user friendly navigation and page layout. Everything was looking good and then came time for the customizations. The ASP cart I chose needed a lot of work done to it. Music Treasures needed many...

Smart Womans Club Website Design

Smokie Sizemore had an idea for a new website she wanted to start. She came to me with no real idea what she wanted, just knew she needed a website. I ran with the idea of using the symbol for female in the logo and within the design, Smokie wanted something a little simpler. She made a remark about wanting it to flow like the ocean. With the previous concepts being to overpowering I went with a simple logo design. Made a very clean header with a little swoosh motion, going with her ocean comment. We still wanted to get something in there with the female symbol though. I chose to add it to the...

Izzys Fire Website Design

Nancy Beasly is a local Richmond, VA published author. She wrote a book about a womans life during the holocaust. Ok, I’ll be honest; I didn’t read the book. Nancy did tell me all about it thought and I had ever intention too. I played around with a few different design concepts but none were really right for her book and it’s topic. I was meeting with her about some computer issues and while fixing her computer her book was laying on the desk. I then got the idea to make the website look like the book. The binding across the left as the navigation. In the right side body a picture...

Access Technology Website Design

I worked for this company for many years doing a wide range of this. They were a small company and as with most all small companies you have to wear many hats to get things done. I’ve designed 2 different website for this while I worked there. The first one was exactly like my Henrico schools website design, the original started here, just with a different color scheme. They used this design for many years, rough guess would be 4-5 years. I kept wanted to change it after a year or 2 of use but either other work came up or I would run into road blocks with what the owner wanted. My own feeling...

Henrico Schools Website Design

Henrico county schools gave all their students macbooks to use during school hours and then can take home to do schools work. Henrico county schools wanted to promote a service to students and parents to make sure they all have Internet availability at home. The previous company I worked for was offered that opportunity and sold dial-up for the macbooks under the name Online@Henrico. I created this simple website for this service and to help current customers if they had any issues. I tried to make it as clean as we could but also make it easy for the users to navigate throughout the site for exactly...

Walter Builders Website Design

Bill Walter (owner) wanted a newer and fresher website. The problem at the time though for him was he didn’t know what he wanted. He just knew he didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it. No problem I told him. I looked over all his current marketing and promotional material to get some ideas. I noticed he also did not have a logo either. So what I did was come up with a nice, clean website design and integrated a logo that he could use for other stuff as well. I setup different area for his site so he can promote the different aspects of his site. He wanted to promote homes that were...
